Gh1 can't use 64 g sandisk extreme pro

Zebra,

Are you using Mac or windows? I know there was a poster on here who had a problem because he was formatting it on a mac first...
 
Sorry for delay, I am traveling. I used win 7, but tried format in gh1, I believe 64g is out of gh1 max sd design cap. Bcz 16g pro work fine.
Any hack on 64g?
 
The GH1 can only use SDHC cards, which I believe goes up to 32gb. 64gb cards are SDXC. I don;t know if the GH2 can use SDXC cards or not.
 
If you attempt to format or use an SDXC card in any device that cannot use it, it may be permanently affected. I have read of them being reduced in capacity (seemingly permanent) and I've heard of them just flat not responding.

I'd contact SanDisk to see if there is a fix.

Maybe you are right.

My card still can be used in panasonic TM700, but both cards showed capacity of 59 GB, that was something baffled me also. Sandisk website even didn't mention its 64G pro applicable device, and they didn't even put their pro in camera usage, only camcorders.
 
I would be shocked if the GH3 didn't accept SDXC cards, so at least you have something to look forward to, right? I have a 64gb SDXC card that I wanted to use in my GH1 which I discovered very quickly wasn't going to happen. So I can justify buying the GH3 in order to use the memory card. The wife has to agree to that!
 
Someone here use Sandisk 64g sdxc card in hacked GH2, itseemed worked. but has some issue (I forgot what, you can do a search but still can be used in GH2)
