GH1 Bride/Groom Photo video session

OK

I never do this but i've been shooting wedding and event stuff for about 10 years now (about 5 years seriously) and recently added a GH1 to my arsenal.

Once i saw what it would do in low light i was hooked but this is my first attempt to use it in brighter light. also i usually stick with old Minolta Primes but this photo shoot was very run-n-gun over some rough terrain and i was a long way from my camera bag so some of it is with the kit lens.

Also the fisheye stuff was all my HMC150 on a glidecam 2000 with a .6 fisheye.

There is some jello/rolling shutter in some of this but for i felt like the Bride/groom would rather see a shaky clip than nothing at all.

This is one of those times where you make a plan (i made the plan to shoot nothing with the GH1 without some sort of camera support) and then i broke it, and regretted it.

there where several shots i had to cut that would have been great if i had left the camera on the tripod/monopod.

Am i the only one who is over hand-held stuff anyway?

Anyway comments welcome.

Thanks

BTW anyone have any tips on cleaning up the junk on my fisheyes lens in post

Right now i plan on rotoscoping it frame by frame but if there is a better way i'm all ears.

thanks
John

I thought it was beautiful, John... Also noticed your in Birmingham. I have family in Sylacouga, and I'm in Meridian, MS. Was there a place there locally that you were able to purchase your GH1? Would Wolf Camera have it?

Unfortunately there is not anyone in town who had a GH1 on the self, Believe me i tried.

Rumor has it that Best buy may start carrying the Olympus 4/3 cameras but i don't know about lumix cameras.

The few places that do cary lumix cameras only cary the point and shoots.

Most sales people didn't even know what a GH1 was.

I got mine online.

And thanks for the feedback.

No problem. Oh and other than rotoscoping like you mentioned, I have no idea. Wish there was a better solution with that.

Well there is one better solution but its a little late for that.

I've never seen any lens that attracts junk like this fisheye. I clean it all the time. i Wonder if it just shows up more than on most lenses?
