I bought this GH1 body as a B camera back in March, and used it for one shoot.
I think it came from the factory defective because at some point the lens release button came off, and now whenever I turn the camera on, after 10 seconds I get a "LENS NOT ATTACHED" message. (Yes, I have "shoot w/o lens" turned on.) I've owned another GH1 since January and had no problem with it so this one definitely came from Panasonic defective. The camera worked great before the button came off. You can still attach and release lenses by sticking a thumbtack into the lens release area.
The camera is still on warranty from Panasonic so they should fix it for free. Or if you're the type to open it up, it's probably not too hard of a DIY job. I will include the original box and the blank warranty card so you can get it serviced from Panasonic. I want to keep all the other accessories for use with my other GH1. And this body IS upgradable to the new firmware.
I am too lazy and impatient to go through the trouble of sending it back to Panasonic (especially since I have another GH1). So I would rather give someone a bargain on here.
I'm looking for a quick sale so I am asking a very low $400 shipped and paypaled within the lower 48. It will go out next day. See the pics for condition of the camera -- it's impeccable apart from the missing button and the error message. This is a great opportunity for someone who's patient to get a GH1 for cheaper than anywhere else.
