What type of file sizes should I have for my gh1 1080/24p footage that I convert to ProRes HQ files?

Right now I'm using Toast 10 to convert 1080p mts files to prores hq 1080p and I get 55mb per second of footage. Something has to be wrong because I have a clip that originally is 150mb but after being converted it is 650mb. For the toast settings I set to convert video file, quicktime, prores 1080x1920 HQ.

I can't really continue to work on the video until I figure this out, can someone explain what I'm doing wrong or how the file sizes with the gh13 and ProRes look?

Okay I've searched high and low and I guess this is normal. The AVCHD from the gh1 is a very compressed video format, when converted to ProRes 422 HQ and 422 the files will be much larger, ProRes LT can help reduce the file size.

Aha, do you solve the problem by yourself. So I suppose you need a AVCHD converting tool like the ifunia avchd converter Im using, which can decompress and convert the mts files well.
