GH1 as Corporate Shooter

Attaching a simple lever -- maybe a few inches long -- perpendicular to the GH1's zoom ring might help smooth-out short zooms.

As for blurring those available-light backgrounds, fairly inexpensively (including the appropriate adapter), in manual-mode (but no zoom):

Maybe we're already "there" with good, fast AND cheap? Meaning: The GH1 is plenty good, fast & cheap -- as-is.

If you want _great_, fast & cheap, well, that'll cost ya'! :cheesy:

My Canon FD 28mm used in that shoot was at f/2.8 and I paid a third of the Sigma
(And commanderspike payed even less I think in UK)

But I agree that's a nice lens and 1.4 can be sweet, however check how the edge on my friends should already starts to get out of focus at 2.8. At 1.4 you won't get much room to move.
