Hi,
Just jumped into the GH1 and Ptools market and have been having a few issues with updating the firmware etc... I have trawled through endless pages and FAQ's, but am still having no luck.
My problem is this:
I have a WE9K which I believe to be a UK model?
I have updated the cameras firmware so the version now reads 0.0
I have chosen my changes with the Ptool, which include the usual battery etc...and just playing with the AVCHD bitrate settings, upping the overall bitrate to 35mps, just for a test.
When I load the card into the camera, alot of the time the camera just sees a version 1.3 update even though I have renamed the file to GH1__1.4.
Is this right, or should I be seeing the exact file number ala 1.4?
Also having loaded the new settings and taken a small video clip, when I test the shot in videospec or media inspector the bit rate is around 13mps and the format type is NTSC?
I have been through the camera with a fine tooth comb and the video out etc...is set to PAL.
Can Anybody shine any light on whether I should be seeing a numerical change in the version and also why it seems to be shooting in NTSC when everything i set to PAL?
Many Thanks
J
