GH! Monitor

You mean there is lag? Its not quite wysiwyg, when punch record image get little bit brighter. Not perfact. But still nice, just not perfect.

I meant, if there's no Live View I suppose the monitor will go black when you hit record, or am I wrong?

The GH1 does have live view ON CAM, but externally, all video is cut off when you hit the record button. If you just want a PLAYBACK monitor, then you can use any monitor you want.

Sorry if I didn't explained myself right. What I want to know is how GH1 users are framing their shots (while recording), since external monitors won't work when you hit record.
 
You can frame and focus pre record on an external monitor, and then return to the flip out during recording. Not ideal, so if you really need more screenage, get a GH2 or a AF100.
