GH-1 Bracketing options

Vitaliy, firstly, top man, and have followed this with huge interest since the first threads and suspicion of your motives, to the jugganaut this has created.

thankyou for the child-like wonder you've created in all of this. feels like discovery anew.

I wasn't expecting stills to be covered only video, so I have a request that I will contribute a donation for. I feel like I'm throwing coins in a wishing well...

I do Nodal Ninja HDR setups with my 7-14mm to be reprojected in Nuke on cards for compositing, and have been frustrated by the bracketing options, so was excited to see you exploring that in another thread.

7 pics for only 2 stops either way seems excessive.
I would like to have 5 pics for 2 stops either way.
And then if possible to have 7 pics for 3 stops either way.
Or user defined ranges...

If impossible, just hollor, but while in that bit of hex, if possible, I'd love that as an option.

thanks in advance

That would be a great idea. The support of 7 bracketing shots is nice but kind of useless due to the limited range. It would be nice to have the option of 7 or 9 shots with a maximum EV step of 2.
I also researched some bracketing controller solutions but it seems the Promote Controller doesn't work and the DS-Controller was never tested with the GH1.
So a proper in-built bracketing solution would make this camera very interesting for HDRI shoots.

I am looking at this.
But it is very hard to do.
Panasonic made firmware is such a way that interface and logic are very separate.
Plus logic and actual shooting params made separate also.
So, if you change value used for showing proper mode it won't affect actual shooting params.

We need actual infrastructure and tools first and all this stuff will be possible only afterwards. And as I am writing all tools and reversing as one man team it is painfully slow.

I appreciate the needle in the haystack you're having to cross-reference here with multiple variables involved.

Is a simpler goal to just have larger possible steps? (limited at the moment to 2/3rds stop increments I think) Taken to a stop would be good, and anything beyond is a bonus.
