Hi , does anybody know a good place on ebay to buy a GH1 body only?

as i have some canon Glass and buy a adapter or 20mm 1.7

i would like to know if it can switch modes from PAL To NTSC like the canon's can

because i would like to buy one to film interviews with and use my 7D as B-Roll

is the 30min rec time disabled on the PAL version of the GH1, when Ptool is applyed?
 
The price had gone up slightly and the listing is now ended. I searched a couple of times, but while a week ago there were several brand new $640 bodies...none to be found this morning! Yikes!

Yes you can switch but not in camera, you have to patch it with Ptool each time you want to switch back and forth.

Thanks for the info, been reading 50 out of 200 posts , it makes alot more sense now

i have found a guy who does body only and will be selling it for 600 USD

can't wait to hack this
 
As of today 4:51pm EST there are 7, bodies only, gh1's left on ebay for $557.00 US shipping included from Taiwan. Seller has 100% feedback.

Or have two cards with different versions of firmware. Make sure to use "version check" patch in addition to region change ones.
 
If any Aussies want a GH1 Body only (local PAL full Warranty) PM me. AFAIK only one Authorized Panasonic retailer in OZ has them ... i just bought one $899 inc GST which i think is good price for a local camera.

Thanks for the heads up on the ebay link today. I think I got the last one. This is reminding me of last year when we were all hunting for GH1s... I think I've been here before.. deju vu...
 
cant for the life of me find the Taiwenese Connection on ebay . Need a 2nd body for my business down here in South Africa.
 
I think I got one from that guy last night. He already shipped it. Proud owner of 2 GH1s now! Just finished a short doc and now I think I'll do the patches.
 
Crazy . . . Just checked ebay and there's a bid for a GH1 body only at $815.00 with 3 days left. I swear Panasonic's holding back shipments on purpose again just so they can keep on bankin'. (More power to 'em.)
