GF1 stuck in japanese after first firmwar ptool update

Hi guys,

I have hacked my GF1 once with Ptool3 on Wine on Mac and it worked, but it is now in japanese and i cannot update twice (tried to increase to +2 version in parameters and file name and it does not work. (the bin file in the sd card is not seen)

original model :0x0122 290 original file name GF1__122.bin
trying version +2 : 0x0124 292 with file name GF1__124.bin

When i look at the version screen through my japanese interface (nightmare) it seems to say that the body is in version B.A and the lens in version 1.1

Will i be stuck forever to ideograms i don't understand :( ?

I'm quite lost with the Version. B.A. shown by my GF1 concerning the camera.
(from the first update that worked with Ptool).

I can not update anymore the firmware and it is very annoying.

I am using Ptool and GF1__122.bin initial file

If i put an increment of 2702 i arrive in the version BB0 (hexadecimal)
but my camera still doesn't want to update. (even if i call the file GF1__BB0.bin)

Did i already reach the maximum version number for a firmware ?
Does anyone know a bypass (something like factory reset)

Any help would be very appreciated.(my camera is blocked in japanese)

I finally managed to update my GF1 firmware. (and the language too)

It seems that the code you can see in the Version screen of the GF1 correspond to the two middle caracters of the hexadecimal chain corresponding to the version number (it 's a little tough, panasonic guys didn't think that the hexadecimal version number could go up to 4 important digits)

Exemple : When Panasonic says it's version 0122 , it's in fact the hexadecimal conversion of 290 (the 290 number can be seen in PTool when you increment the version) and you can see Ver. 1.2 in the version screen of the menu. (the 2 middle caracters of 0122)

The first time i updated the firmware , i did wathever error that changed my version number so that i could see Ver B.A through the camera specific screen.

I was obliged to increment by 48000 so that the firmware could be taken into account by the GF1. My firmaware version is 48000+290 = 48290 that is to say in hexadecimal : BCA2 and my version screen now proudly shows C.A.

(Don't worry, i didn't try the increments 1 by 1 till 48000, i made a kind guestimation by thinking about the B.A version i could see in camera)
