GF1 24p B CAMERA for short film!!!

I am developing a short film, and I need a B camera to get more coverage. I heard the GF1 was recently hacked just like the GH1, but it still doesn't have 24p for its 1080p mode. Should I buy the GF1 and use it anyway, or should I wait until the hack develops a method for getting 24p out of the little monster?

P.S.- my little brother wants to be a cinematographer and wants a little camera for himself. Since the GH1 is too big for him (he's a small thirteen), I wanted to know if I could get a GF1 to match a Gh1 for film-like video.

GF1 is still 720p. 1080p is just 720p upscaled.

What would be the difference between "true" 1080p and upscaled 720p to 1080p/
Is there a quality difference between the two? Also, is worth it to just get another gh1?

1080p will have twice the resolution of 720p. If true 24p/1080 is a must...then a second GH-1 is so worth it.

Most people can't tell the difference between 720 and 1080.
