FS7: Getting the right SETUP...

Hi!
I do have my FS7 since december and still working on the lightest setup
My first idea was with Zacutos universal baseplate.

But it weights 900g -and after a few shootings I searched for another solution .

I am on Manfrotto and wanted a comfortable shoulder mount but with rods for my matte box and focus puller always on.
All baseplates like vocas or sony and so on where just too heavy and big and the Camerabalance is bad and not adjustable !

So I found a way to mount a rodholder on my Manfrotto baseplate
This is how it works:
Because the baseplate from Manfrotto is so long - I can easily slide my shoulder pad to the position to get the FX7 better balanced
on the other hand it is small and I can mount it to my Slider , my tripod and to my shoulder pad
without changing my rig setup (mattemox and follow focus)

right now it is not perfect aligned but I have to drill more holes and screws to get it right.

Also I am waiting for the SHAPE handle and the SHAPE cheese plate to mount all my stuff on TOP.
keep my setting go.

Right now my full SETUP is about 6kg and thats 1kg less than with the Zacutto Baseplate (which was very comfortable but heavy)

Here are some shots - BUT WORK IN PROGRESS..... (can't wait for 2.0 and hopefully the waveform back with LUTs !!! and 4CH Audio- YEAH)
Besides I love S-Log3 CI - Just finished a Video for a client on a SKI-RACE with the race taken place in the shadow of the woods on a really sunny day - WOW - what you can pull from the Slog picture is amazing - and the 709LUT in the monitor worked perfectly..)

Cheers from Austria !!!

Sly,
Despite all the pics , I can't really see what you did there. How did you rig the rails? Also what's the shoulder pad you're using ?
