Getting Sony's HD Footage Into A Final Cut Project

Well I just have not ventured into the import of this camera yet. I did try to import into Final Cut Pro and it did not work. I also tryed Lumiere and I could get to work either. My question is does anybody know exactly what I have to do to get this HD footage onto my final cut pro workflow. Im confussed about this.
Also I have a project I need to start editing. If anyone has the capibilities of importing and logging 3 minii DV tapes and getting this footage to me so that I can edit with it in final cut pro HD I could make worth there while.
Thanks so much..

P.S. On DV mode can you print to tape using this HDR-FX1?

Use Lumiere to transfer the file into an M2t, then use MPEG Streamclip to export to Quicktime, Intermediate Codec (which comes with IMovie5). Then create a sequence in FCP with Intermediate codec, 1920x1080, square pixels. That's all.
