getting no tape in camera, but there is

I get the red flashing no tape in camera warning, and the tab is closed, and it happens on any tape I put in...any answers out there???It has happened before a few times, but if I took out the tape and put it back in, it worked fine. Now It won't at all. Also the camera will not switch from camera mode to VCR mode. any help at all is appriciated. Thanks!!

When u open the casset deck and look at your tape ul see a white or blue small button on the top right corner..Its written record on one side and save on the other(on the casset)..You should move it on the side of record and your problems will end

As for the camera not switching to vcr mode..Sounds like you might have a problem..You should take it for servicing!

The tab is on the REC side. I tried it both ways. It occasionally stops blinking with the tape in, and I can then switch to VCR mode, but most of the time it just blinks.
