Getting GREENS to POP, WILDBOYZ style.

I watch MTV's Wildboyz, and their footage just looks PERFECT, anytime they're in the woods. I remembered saying to myself, man, I wonder what camera they use, before I had my dvx, and always thought it looked amazing. I know now that they use the DVX, i was interested in others Scene settings they've used for 24p capture, that theyve recorded from previous uses, that looked great when outside and capturing Greens. Not sure what to set my settings too.

Saw a post on here a while ago, that someone posted their scene settings, but I've looked and can't find it anymore.

They also shoot on DigiBeta cameras as well as the DVX100 series. You should be able to get the look you want by color correcting.

I use FCP. I suppose that's how i could enhance it, but I remembered someone posting their scene settings, talking about enhancing greens.

I guess dropping your Chroma Phase will push your picture slightly toward green, but I would still rather do it in post. It'll give you far more control over your image.

Although its got a bit of a red issue, I think the DVX is great for greens in camera.

I played a bit with the greens for HUNTING CAMP because a lot of it was in the woods (go figure) and I was happy with the results. Most of the time I preferred just sticking with what the camera gave me and not messing with the greens much. Below's a little comparison.

With this scene by the waterside in particular I preferred the original to the green tweaked version and that's what is in the movie. I had an idea of making the ending scenes more green for symbolic reasons and brightened them to give it more daylight, but in the end I thought the original was more natural, harsh, and intense looking. Anyhow this shows you how far you can take it really in post...green-wise.

Thanks for the suggestions. Doing it in Post seems like my best bet. That way I can always go back if i dont like it or if it's too green. ;)
