Getting 5diii video file info/settings...?

Is there a way to get the info/settings from a video file (iso, focal length, etc)? I have a bunch of video files I took with a 5diii months ago and wanted to go back and see what the settings on them were. I know my T2i gives the .thm files, but didn't see anything like that with the 5d files. Any other way to get the info? Thanks

I have not tried the tool nigelbb reccomends, but I do recall that when using the ALL-I codec the camera does not create thumbnail (*.thm) files which contain the shots metadata. The IPB codec does create the *.thm files but I would take this trade-off for the benefit ALL-I gives for fast motion etc. based on the scene.

I will give EXIFtool a try regardless - could be a really useful resource! Thanks!

You are mistaken, The EXIF data is embedded in the .MOV files on the 5D3. There are no .THM files created whether you are using IPB or ALL-I.

DPP is good for a quick look to see what aperture & ISO were used but exiftool provides way more information. Whether it's useful or not I'll let you decide e.g. this is what I get from a random .MOV file

This had been my headache for quite a while, as Adobe does not (or cannot) dig out the info and EOS Utility does not provide it.

Now I know DPP is the answer (thanks c3hammer!!).

I don't think exiftool offers more relevant info, as many of the numbers it lists are either irrelevant, redundant, or simply mysterious zeros. Use the above metadata posted by nigelbb as an example: exiftool lists the lens 24-70mm several places (why several?), and a number of data fields are really data about the lens, not about the underlying movie. To me, by looking at the messy list of fields, I believe the only information I would need to know about the lens as per the movie file is not more than this: I had used a 24-70mm f/2.8 lens at 67mm and f/11. That's all. No more, no less. I cannot imagine why one (whose primary interest is in the video captured) would want to know the lens's field of view, circle of confusion, 35mm equivalent of 67mm being 65mm, etc. DPP, as a tool for photographers (not for camera engineers or for camera software developers) is much more adequate for professional photographers: enough, concise, and to the point.
