Get your FS100? Post up here.

Got mine. No rig pics yet because my new matte box is on the way, but I'm sporting a Redrock low base plate with a couple shims to lift it up high enough for follow focus clearance under Redrock focus gears. Fotodiox EOS adapter, Novoflex Nikon adapter, TV Logic 5.6, Ultralight monitor arm, Bogen quick release to allow quick attachment of the "Tripod Rig" to my handheld rig section. It's sort of Voltron-esque, but it allows me to go from tripod/studio to handheld in about thirty seconds.

Looking to create a 'heavy' RnG/Corporate rig

Would choose smaller for a day out with the mates or more stripped down for handheld drama

I can move with the rig in my hands and the sticks and bag on my shoulders

SmallHD DP1x will go in favour of a smaller lighter monitor soon

Here I have full sound - good vision and long power life

Rig drops to stcks and balances by pushing the batt forward

FS100
smallHD Dp1x
HIR T60 Rig
Miller Sticks
Hawkwoods Vlock powers camera and monitor
Sony Lavs

SmallHD shade
The 'chimney' cut to make a small shade!

well yours is a sticks based rig

lookin clean with no mic or lav

mine is shoulder or sticks so I need the weight back and the mon forward (yes I do want a smaller mon)

Need to work on the cable management

ON the shoulder you get an ENG stance

with the camera side touching your cheek (causing stability) like an ENG and the lens at a very good eyeline

I could chop the rear rails back and bring the batt in but that would make it more front heavy - this is close to perfect balance on the shoulder fore aft, its left heavy because of the soon to be gone mon

not so different from somthing like this..

And a long mic cable is required to do a PTC/interview - just like the eng op

Not really - I build it to "transformer" into an well balanced ENG style rig, to go from sticks to shoulder in seconds.

Sorry the bad photo, but you get the idea.

Interesting your longer lens pushes the rig back

what is the lens ?

How do you find the record button?

BTW my monitor is low to look down then I can see my feet with peripheral vision steadicam op inspired

Mine is pretty heavy !

The lens is a 35mm/1.4 Rokinor/Samyang (fantastic lens by the way - became my favourite, and cheap) - all my lenses have a step up/down ring to to fit the 77mm Heliopan Vari ND and a rubber sun shade.

That meets 3 purposes

1. Every lens fits the matte box back opening.
2. The FF does not come in conflict with the matte box
3. It moves the camera further back.

When I have it on the shoulder, I use the record button under the speaker, on the dumb side.

The weight with all the bells and whistles is about 30 lbs, which is a good thing to keeps things steady.

My shoulder rig pushes my FS100 back to where yours is as well, the balance is MUCH better if you do that. I set it up so my 11mm works with it and doesn't show any of the rig.

One think I think I want to get is a remote button that I can place down by the hand grips. I think Manfrotto has some that are mountable.

@ Michael: I love it - even ordered a second one as backup.

@ Douglas: Yes that´s a Hypershuttle and no, I still wait till Blackmagic releases the new firmware, that makes it talk to the FS100.

Here is my rigging.. still needs a little more...but i think it is production ready....Redrock Micro follow Focus, Zacuto Zwing, Cine City Matt box, Berkey System Rails and shoulder mount and grips, Philp Bloom camera Slider Full size, Bogen 701 Head, Small HD DP 4 EVF, Sony Wireless...

Full solo ENG op with 8 hour power, lavs, shotgun, DP6, will probably trim the rails when I am fully happy with the config

A more casual set up

Next plan is to get the small HD on the smaller rig, but need to find a power source

The sony plate from Small does not take the same batts as the camera..

This does but has no threads or suchlike to mount with
