Get the GoPRO look

So I noticed the goPRO hero HD has a 170 degree FOV. Does anyone know the formula to figure out what focal length gives 170' FOV on a 2x micro4/3 sensor?

I'm trying to mimic the goPRO look without having to buy a goPRO. LOL!

I know the AF100 has a FOV of 82mm @ 10mm... if that helps... I know this from: http://www.abelcine.com/fov/

7-14mm f/4.0 has 118º FOV at 7mm. I am pretty sure there are FOV calculators out there you can find. Also the 8mm fisheye has 180º FOV. A third party lens maker is coming out with a cheaper one too.

GoPro is not actually 170 degrees, it been measured at around 155. If you remove it from he housing so there is no outer glass lens to shoot thru, it's less again. The Case lens is slightly magnified.

Thanks for the info man, any word on what company is going to start to make 3rd party m4/3 lenses?

LOL. Didn't know that, although I don't know many people who use a naked goPRO.

Why not buy one. I have and love the darn thing.... Especially since it's waterproof and a hell of a value... Probably the cost of getting a suitable fisheye...
