Hi

I have been using DVX100B and love the film-like 24P mode in several months . However I can not figure it out why watching DVD recorded by DVX100B with 24PA I often see the clear vertical line, easy to see on red color, other colors also showed the clear vertical line . It happened on my Sony LCD 46XBR4 and my sony CRT 20" computer monitor
Then I did searched for chroma blur to get rid of the red color smearing , It helps but other colors still showed clear vertical line ie such as green color with bright background. If you pay attention you will see it.
Do I have the setup wrong on my DVX100B or is this normal for shooting 24P I have to live with that? anyway following is my set up:

DETAIL LEVEL....... -1
V DETAIL LEVEL..... 0
DETAIL CORING .... 0
CHROMA LEVEL.... -3
CHROMA PHASE.... 0
COLOR TEMP......... 0
MASTER PED......... -4
A. IRIS LEVEL....... -1
GAMMA.................. CINELIKE
KNEE..................... AUTO
MATRIX................. CINELIKE
SKIN TONE DTL..... OFF
V DETAIL FREQ...... THIN
PROGRESSIVE....... 24 pA in 16:9 squeeze mode

Thank you

what are you editing it on?

if you are using Final cut pro I capture it with the advanced pulldown and edite it on a 23.97 timeline.
the problem should be solved

Sounds like you're seeing the color sampling. It may well be a DVD/MPEG-2 compression issue, not an issue with the footage.

I am using Vegas 8.0 to edit 24PA , and do not mix with any format . Just wondering how to fix it ?

Thanks
