Genus Matte Box + Vari-NDs

Hey,

I placed an order for the Genus Matte Box just before they hiked the price, but the company were out of filters.

I told them to send me a 58mm b/c that's what my Canon lenses are and have the intention to get the donut too incase I get a bigger lens.

But then I remember I also have my Fader ND, and if I'm shooting outside I'd like to use that with the Genus too. If memory serves the outer ring of the fader is 62mm.

I'm tempted to add the 62mm filter to the order as well as although the donut will do the job, if it's over the lens it's gonna make using the fader pretty difficult!

Anyone using these products in tandem and can give me some advice here on what to do?

Get real 4x4 ND glass filters for that matte box - otherwise what's the point of buying it?
If in US check Tiffen filters, if in Europe check Formatt filters.
 
Blown the budget on the matte box itself for now heh! Plus I have the fader nd at the moment, filters can come but not in time for this weekend's shoot.

I actually was on the fence about buying one b/c I do like the Fader ND but w/the price increase I pulled the trigger as if I change my mind it'd cost me an extra £150!
