Genesis vs F35

So I know some of you had the chance to use both cameras and I'm interested to know if there was anything the Genesis had over the F35? Was the color, DR, or anything really better? Also, was the genesis stuck to only using Panavision glass, or was their a way you could modify it to put on PL glass?

This was covered way back on DVXUSER Sony F35/F65 threads. Pretty sure the Genesis was same PL mount that the F/35 had?

Oh, can you please post a larger photo of the Sony F3 manual, getting into the service menu for the PIXEL mapping.

Broatch

The genesis had Panavision's proprietary lens mount on it, I just didnt know if it was possible to install a PL mount onto the body. Also, i dont have the manual anymore to reupload as i returned my F3 to adorama months ago.

The F35 is better than the Genesis in every possible way, technically speaking. The Genesis has less dynamic range, is limited to 10-bit and has more noise.

The F35 is basically a second generation Genesis. So it improved over the Genesis.

I figured as much. What about comparing it to the F23? The biggest difference I know is the sensor size of course but given both of the cameras are only 10bit, in terms of color science and the like, does the genesis have an upper hand over the F23 in that area?
