Generic L series batteries

I'm needing to purchase a few more batteries for my hdr-fx1 cam and I was thinking about buying the generic L series batteries instead of the sony brand. Are they equally as good or complete crap. I'm wanting a few NP-F970's and the price difference is $25 for generic vs over $100 for sony brand. Thoughts?

possibly the wrong forum here, but always remember, at least to some extent, you get what you pay for.
 
they're good,
i sold my FX1 over a year, but still using those batteries for the light, made in China, ebay $25 :)
I wish they make those for EX1
 
dont do it. i bought one from China, packaged in authentic Sony wrapper. it lasted
6 months. My current crop of Sony batts, are 3-4 years old, still rockin!
