Im shooting an interview tommorow with my dvx i plan to have it in a dark room with low lighting. what would be the best settings to shoot for something general like this. I have changed all my scene setting around so many times i dont even know what was defaulted.

That's not really something anyone can answer except you. Dark room could mean anything, although it sounds like you meant to have low lighting, which doesn't make much sense. But the answer is just light it and use the settings however works best for what you're going for. There's no right answer.

For low light situations, shooting 60i allows for a much brighter picture than 24p. You can also use gain if you need to.
