General Error

I'm trying to capture 24p video into FCP 5.01 and keep getting a General Error message. I have the Easy Setup as dv-ntsc 24p (23.98) and the Capture Presets at 48khz.
 
This may be right off track, but the only other time ive ever got the error "General Error" is when id installed a trial version of the Sheer Codec by bitjazz(good codec by they way) and it had run out. the only way i found was to register t and it went away, or re-install OSX etc. Maybe you can just uninstall the sheer codec. this migh not have anything to do with you but hey.
