Geek Out On This

Its good Fluke fishing now I think as the warmer water comes in. Time to hit the Hamptons again for some summer fishing then Long Beach Island for some september Stripped Bass fishing.

Planet-seekers who have spotted 28 new planets orbiting other stars in the past year say Earth's solar system is far from unique and there could be billions of habitable planets.

"The ... attribute which really has us the most excited is this new planet which we found three years ago," Marcy said. The Neptune-like planet orbiting the star Gliese 436 has intrigued scientists because it appears to be covered with water -- albeit rock-hard, hot water in a most un-Earthlike chemical state because of the intense pressures on the planet.

Rock hard hot water?

Awesome. Hopefully one day we can see these planets up close. that would be somehting. And if they have civilization, my BIGGEST curiosity would be what their art and music are like. If they develop it that is.

My dads friend just caught a 35lb Striper 4 days ago. we ate like 3 pounds of fish that night. it was AMAZING. softest most delicious fish ive had in years. he caught it right off the rocks at breezy point.

Just something to geek out on...
Cool, that's from rense.com. That guy's site is pretty weird.

A white dwarf is basically a super dense star-core left behind from a dead star - a star that no longer has the energy for fusion.
Not a dead star, just a slowly dying star off of the main sequence. The Sun will eventually shrivel to a white dwarf in over 5 billion years once it has formed from the red giant that will have destroyed the Earth and possibly Mars. The red giant will probably become about the size of Earth's orbit, and then finally lose the fight against gravity to become a white dwarf. Our sun is too wimpy to become a supernova.

But they are fun to catch and they taste good.
A fluke is also a type of liver parasite that burrows through tissue. Be careful what you eat in third world countries. Get your beef or whatever well done, not rare.

Brandon Rice said:
That's impossible. Look at the order in the universe. Or even just the order here on earth. Flukes don't create order.
To be honest, nobody knows what truly creates order. It is basically intangible, but you can prove much of it with mathematics.

Then move on to Quantum Mechanics, which will make you think you are insane :)
I like the implications of Quantum Theory. They illuminate how insane older belief systems can be...

(a) We're a little bit short on data for sweeping conclusions as to what is possible, and (b) order can be intrinsic, requiring neither fluke nor intent.

Well, I'm still waiting for my Quantum Computing :)

Well, yes you are correct to an extent, simple repeating patterns can be explained via mathematical expressions, however this does not apply to complex specified order.

Live performances, awards shows, etc are kind of a different continuum from feature/tv/cable work. Which is not to say people don't go back and forth, just that relatively few people do.

Regarding the Museum of Creationism...

I don't believe that Creationists are bad people, per se, but their efforts to dumbify and primitivize us are really insidious.
