IN the USA its all about Credit Scores.

I guess, it's the same thing everywhere in the world.

ps : Damn, It's my first thread's hijack !! And with a film I really like...

Re: Gattaca

Yeah, I hardly ever get those kind of questions, unless I'm visiting a medical professional. John's right: all about the credit history.

I'm not disputing your theory; your statement just sounded so much like you'd already been there and seen it. Have you? Do you have a time machine!? Can I use it?

Re: Gattaca

Speaking of thread-hijacking...

I keep meaning to ask.... How is Glass Blower scat different from other people's scat?

Glassblowerscat,

I just wanted to say that I think the world described in Gattaca is imo the world is waiting us.
It's certainly my insufficient english level who allowed this confusion...

By the way, I don't have a time machine until I'll see Primer !! ;D

Do you need a time machine ?

(I've been always amazing by coincidences. I've just started yesterday to read a book named : chronos tacticals. Describing the discovery and the evolution of the meaning of TIME in the modern though. very interesting book and totally off-topic comment. Who cares what I'm reading !!)

Re: Gattaca

Time Travel is one of the most fascinating possibilties; I would be that monkey. Medieval Times, here I come.

Interesting,

Most people I asked want to come back in time to make money.
(stocks and lottery)

I feel once in medieval times. It was in Carcassonne (south of france) on winter at the magic hour. You'll feel just like in 1004 AD. Magic.

Re: Gattaca

I think some aspects of Gattaca, more than others, are very real for our future. For instance, couples today can decide whether they want a boy or girl...it's probably not long until we go further than that.

Re: Gattaca

Gattac was shot on half film, and half AMAZING...That's def. one of the films that sucked me into filmmaking. No doubt about it.

What about the area of mirrors ? I like the aesthetic of this scene with the sun raising.

Is it a real location or CG ?  [/quote]

It's a solar furnace.

The location may have been digitally enhanced; haven't seen it in a while.

Re: Gattaca

Thanks Sad max.

Really beautiful shots done in this place : The sun flooding the mirrors and the crane shot with the couple walking.
