If you can't afford a Petrol or Portabrace audio bag, this is a decent and affordable substitute. It actually can accommodate a full sized recorder in the long slot and a compact hand held recorder like the Zoom in the shorter slot. Plus, it has two slots for mics and external 3D pockets for accessories. It also has a rain cover with a see-through window so you can monitor your audio during bad weather.
Because the foam is fairly rigid and can easily stand by itself, you can actually lay a Zoom H4N or Roland R26 recorder face up on top of the foam or wedged into the long slot while booming a mic. There are not many good ways to monitor sound on handheld recorders and I found this way worked best. I use a half ball adapter screwed into the tripod socket on back to keep the recorder in place. In very good shape. The outer bag is clean with no rips or tears. The clear plastic is in excellent condition with no fogging. The foam is in good shape with a minor tear down by where the cables exit the bag. $70 shipped. Doesn't include any of the gear shown.
