Hi

Please take a look in the DSLR Forum -> Topic "Laptop" posted this AM.
Hope this helps and best of luck.

For the best results with Premiere CS5, you should look for a computer that includes one of the supported nVidia video cards with CUDA coprocessing. This will make a tremendous difference in the smoothness and speed of editing. Or, order your computer without a video card and pick up something like a GTX470 card separately (less than $300). This doesn't matter if you're using CS4, but that's a big step down from CS5.

Before you go bonkers spending megabucks on a graphics card, I use a computer similar to the spec above (though with multiple hard drives) and have no problems editing video from my HMC41 natively, using CS5. That includes colour grading, nested timelines etc. I'll admit I haven't tried to edit any Hollywood-grade 2 hour feature films on it, but for up-to-15 minute films it is fine.

I bought a referbished Quad core PC with 4GB of Ram and mine edits fine($299). Mind you it was SD video and I have only tinkered with the AMCHD files...but when I did it seemed like it was fine.
