Gas prices

$2.43 here. Maybe we should have attacked Saudi Arabia instead of Iraq. Any off chance they might have a few WMDs sitting around for a good excuse?

What does actually having WMDs have anything to do with it? All we need to do is just say they have it, and then go in and attack them. I'm sure we could drum up support from the numereous countries that supported us before, you know those powerful, no name, third world countries that no one heard about before. :)

Actually, to slightly change the subject. I happened to find an old MacConnection mail order catalog last night from 1999. Maybe this will make everyone feel a little better about the current gas prices. G4 PowerMac: 400mhz, 27GB hard drive, 256mg Ram, $3494!! External FireWire 14GB hard drive, $899!! Extra Ram for the PowerMac: 256,mg, $799. 2.1 megaPixel Nikon CoolPix 950. $959!! 128mg Compact Flash card: $399. And the PowerBook laptop prices?? Don't even ask. Its comical. So, hopefully this will make everyone feel a little better. Quit driving so much, and do more editing.

Hey waltind, I'm 26 and remember back in the good ol day, my junior year of highschool 1996, and gas was .86 a gallon. I had a little blue dodge colt that got about 45 miles to the gallon and had a 10 gallon tank. I could drive across the whole country for less than the cost of a night in a hotel, won't be seing those days again.

Now gas here in Eburg is 2.06, I guess we aren't that bad here after all. I lived in guatemala for a while, a few years ago and I remember seing the price of gas, after figuring out the equivalent I figured it was about $1.50 a gallon, not too bad. But then I started pumping, and pumping and watched the numbers race, which was then I figured out my dyre mistake, $1.50 a litre. Ouch.

We really still do have it good here in the States, so we shouldn't complain, but I will anyways.

Okay 1 US gallon = 3.7854118 litres in London Uk today I paid 86p a litre which equals $1.61681 which makes it $6.1202916524 a gallon. Thanks Mr Blair

I'm no genius but up here in canada we are paying 96 cents per LITRE for gas. Could someone who's smart please tell me what that would mean in US converted sizes. I think a litre fits into a us gallon five times and if we take our dollar to a recycling depot we get maybe 70 cents, so in US terms, how much do we pay for a gallon of gas?
$0.96 Canadian = $0.79 US at today's BofC exchange rate. One US gallon = 3.785 litres, so we pay about US$3.00 per gallon.

About half of that are taxes.

And what does this post not have to do with politics?

(just asking).

BTW, one of those no name, third world countries is my homeland, so watch it, buddy! Only Czechs are allowed to bash the Czechs!

P.S. Czech Republic has some of the best-trained chemical weapon specialists (as in: detoxication experts) in the world. Probably something you want to have on your side of the fence.

You can't ask for an island and not ask for a hammok as well. C'mon Hudson.

Yep those were the days! BTW I went to highschool at Shorecrest (North Seattle) not that far from good ol' Eburg. :)
