Gas prices

I'm no genius but up here in canada we are paying 96 cents per LITRE for gas. Could someone who's smart please tell me what that would mean in US converted sizes. I think a litre fits into a us gallon five times and if we take our dollar to a recycling depot we get maybe 70 cents, so in US terms, how much do we pay for a gallon of gas?

It was $2.80 in Boron. I skipped that and drove to Barstow, where the first ripoff station was $2.70, so a little driving found a station at $2.49.

1.94 - 1.98 .. we are talking regular here right.. much fewer autos actually require or make any better use whatsoever of premium.

IAL, talk about cheap gas! Drive a couple hundred miles to northern wisconsin and you're paying 2.39. Good thing I'll be able to ride my bike to work -- once all the SNOW melts.

Mine requires it, and it's killin me!!!

It's around 2.25/gal here is Portland, Or. (I remember gas being 0.89/gal in highschool! - those were the days, being able to fill up for about $10)

$2.43 here. Maybe we should have attacked Saudi Arabia instead of Iraq. Any off chance they might have a few WMDs sitting around for a good excuse?

Good idea to me. Let me give *W* a call and see what he thinks. His approval rating is way down again (SUPRISE, SUPRISE) so what we need is another good war to get us back on the right track. So I'll call *W*, someone get Michael Moore and Donald Rumsfield on the phone......and we'll make this thing happen. We've *GOT-STA* get them gas prices back under 2.00. ~reservoir~

Current oil prices have everything to do with increased demand by China and India. This has been brewing for a while. It came as no surprise to people who follow these things.

As oil exploration is currently a cultural evil, there will be no increased supply. So, the only way prices are coming down is if demand drops. China and India are only going to demand more, because they now have a taste for developing economics. Therefore, if prices are going to decrease, decreased demand is going to have to come from the current largest consumer. This is not a political statement; this is mathematics.

So, don’t expect anything to drop any time soon. Unless you drive less. And get everyone you know to drive less. And they get everyone they know to drive less.

Only you can prevent forest fires. You are as much to blame as anyone.

High school? Wow, you must be young. It was about 93 cents only three years ago, plus a couple months.

Not that young, I'm 25. I must have been getting my gas at the wrong stations 3 years ago - I remember paying about 1.10ish.
