Garden State

Re: Garden State

I didn't mind the film, but I diidn't think was great either, a good start as a new director though.

Re: Garden State

Finally caught it. Saw it in a second run theatre. Not bad. I feel like the film really didn't catch fire for me until about thirty five minutes into it. After that I enjoyed it.

Re: Garden State

what! the first 10 minutes of it was the best part of the whole movie....the ending being the worst and most predictable.

Re: Garden State

i seen the film through the eyes of an aspiring indy film maker. And i seen Zack Braff as that same kind of person. So i diddnt mentally judge the movie the same way that i would if the same movie were made by some big shot hollywood Director.
"They" call it a coming-of-age style of flick, and ill buy into that.
i think ppl are getting sick of that glassy, see through hollywood style movie and this is something a lil didderent. thats why its getting the rave reviews.
I think this is why all that reality stuff is so big now. if that is the case all us Indy guys/gals are looking in good shape for the future.

The ending of the movie was pretty cheese, but i think that was the studios involvement. maby not...who knows.

These are my thaughts, if you hate them...TOO BAD.
