FS7: Gamma shift OS X except Resolve

Just received a FS7, and played with a couple of files our photographer and intern filmed. I suddenly noticed, that the footage (4K, 250mbps, slog3) looks darker and considerably more contrasty in QT 10, QT7, VLC, After Effects cc14 and of course Final Cut x compared to Resolve where I found it to be displayed correctly (and flat).

have any of you guys experienced this?
(FCPX/QT/AE/VLC on the left and Resolve on the right)

VLC I normally find reasonably accurate. But Quicktime is unusable for reviewing footage accurately - it skews things miles away from what they should look like. Mine adds a tonne of yellow on to everything, so don't use it as a reference.

VLC is just as bad, and looks identical to FCPX. This is really weird, if there's gamma shift with the FS7 XAVC-S files. I haven't experienced anything like it with the A7s for example.

Yes between resolve and fcpx I often get the shift too. Quite lame this still is not fixed since it first appeared - which has been a while.

is it a screen shot from the Resolve canvas window?

It's no gamma shift. Resolve passed by ColorSync and needs an I/O hardware like Ultra Studio Mini Monitor plus (hardware) calibrated monitor.
If you export the file from Resolve it will look different to the preview window again. There is nothing to fix but a lot to learn ;-) Don't worry
almost everybody was at this point.

Trust resolve. Many other programs may interpret the file as using "video levels" which will add contrast, in fact the software should actually treat it as "data levels".
