Gamma Setting for Color Chart shooting

Would it be correct to assume that the most accurate Gamma setting to shoot a Grey Scale and Color Chart with would be : HD Norm ?

By accurate I mean the setting that would display the Chart most accurately on a Waveform monitor scope.

The Camera bars are very accurate on a scope but the gamma settings obviously influence the scale.

HD Norm is designed to replicate Rec 709 so, yes, if you're using a chart and you're expecting normal HD-looking video, HD NORM is the gamma you'd want to use.

Thanx Barry

Also...do you or anyone know if the Percentage scale (0-100%) on a waveform scope is the same increments as the m/v scale (0-1m/v). eg. does .4 m/v. = 40%

What is the scale on the Panasonic Monitors built in waveform monitor? % or m/v. ?
Very undocumented feature !
