I have a rather dumb question. Specifically using hmc 150 cameras.
I have shot some dark events with zero gain and later in post realized just how dark it was.
Thankfully Genarts Sapphire plugin, "hue sat bright" does wonders to brighten footage and also adjust colors.
I've not done much shooting using electronic gain so I am wondering which is better?
Obviously lighting is the best choice, but if that is not possible, is sapphire better than gain?
Or possibly add a little gain and then use sapphire in post to brighten it some more?
