I purchased the Panasonic 35-100mm f/4.0-5.6 to use with my G7 for video. I was using it at a wedding this weekend and I turned the zoom ring to pull back to 35mm and the screen turned black and I get a message saying "Please rotate the zoom ring to extend lens". When I turned the zoom ring a little bit, I noticed that the camera had stopped recording. I figured that I must have turned the zoom ring really hard, but a few minutes later it happened again. I did not turn it hard at all, I just zoomed out and the camera gives me the message and cuts off my recording. I asked one of my other shooters and he said the same thing happened to him when he was using it. This is not a good thing and I may need to return the lens if there's no way to disable this. Does anyone know if there is a way to set the camera so that it doesn't tell me this? I don't need instructions on how to extend the lens so it's pretty strange that it needs to keep telling me this while ending my recording. I was initially looking at the 45-150 Panasonic, does this do the same thing? Do most M43 zoom lenses do this?
