GH3 G6 Setting Aperture and SS in M Movie mode?

Hi, I'm sorry if this is a very basic question, and for the G6 (but I guess it will be the same for all the GH cams too), but is there a way to set the aperture and shutter speed in manual video mode on the G6?
At the moment I have to turn the camera to M (photo) mode every time I want to adjust those settings...

That's not so much of a problem if I'm using a lens with aperture ring, but the live view screen always seems to show the same exposure regardless of adjustments I make to the aperture. Is there a way to have to screen show what the actual exposure will be?
Thanks a lot!

First off, black text on gray is very hard to read.

Second, yes, there is a way to set SS and aperture, and ISO manually in video. You'll have to find these menu configurations as I don't know where they are on the G6.

With the mode dial set to the video icon look for EXPOSURE MODE, there will be four choices, P A S and M. Set it to M and then press the "set" button.

Next look for CONSTANT PREVUE and set that to ON. EXPO.METER might be right with it, set that to ON LCD (gives you the meter readout bottom center of the EVF/LCD). Now you should see exposure effect in the EVF and on the LCD in video with the dial on top set to video and in still mode with the dial set to M. These are the only two modes this works like this. All other modes are automated and the camera will only show ypu the "perfect" exposure it is going to try to give you.

Hope this helps. I don't have a G6, but this is the way it works on my GH3's, GH4, and GX7. Let me know.

If you don't need constant preview on continuously, it can be assigned to one of the function buttons so that it can be toggled on or off.

I dunno why the text was black. It certainly wasn't an intentional design choice! lol

Anyway, thank you very much for your advice. I found the Exposure mode setting and set it to M, so now I have access to Aperture and SS in movie mode.

I wasn't able to find anything like a constant preview setting... But while I was changing things around, I noticed that the ISO had been set to auto (I assumed it could not be auto in M mode). So after I changed that I am able to see the live view indicate how light or dark the scene is.
Thank you very much again!

Thanks Graham. Do you mean exposure preview?

Yes! Sorry I was typing on my cellphone. The option you want has an aperture/iris symbol and the word "Preview". Once you assign a button, you can toggle it on and off.
