G5 Video Card upgrade

Hi Everyone,

I just recently purchased FCStudio 2. I cant run Color however on this computer.
I am on a dual 1.8 G5. i have an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro with 64MB VRam. I read some threads that say the ATI Radeon X800XT Mac Edition is the best upgrade for me, but everywhere I look they are gone. Discontinued. :badputer:

Does anyone know what the best option for me would be. All I want to do is run Color. Every other aspect of FCStudio works fine currently.

Try this one - ATI Radeon 9600 Pro 256MB vram. I use this in my dual 2.0 G5 and I can run color. You'll also need a high-res display to really use Color though (can't remember off the top of my head, but I think you need 1200 lines).

Hmm... I've got a x800xt laying around in my G5 dual 2.0 that's now my second machine. I guess I really don't need the horsepower anymore. Let me see if I can find my old card to put back in the G5 and I'll sell it for a modest price. I payed $250 for it from a member of this board about a year ago, and it made a huge difference.
