I believe it's possible to use my Powerbook G4 (1.67 GHz) in "target mode" to mount its inserted P2 card on my desktop G5, but I can't seem to get it to work. Here's what I've tried:
-Insert P2 card in Powerbook
-Connect PB to (already running) G5 via firewire
-Start PB in target mode (holding down 'T' key)
When I do this, the PB's hard drive appears on the G5 desktop as it should, but not the P2 card.
When starting the PB up normally it works fine as a P2 card reader, FCP to FW HD transfer station etc.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Assuming it should work, that is...
Do I need to install the P2 driver on my G5 too (it isn't yet). I'm running Leopard 10.5.5.
Thanks in advance for your help!
