hpd, even if you could see images, you can't buy one at this point (unless there will be a boatload of them at NAB). Once the forum, and demo sections of the site come back up, there is plenty of content to look at; pictures and footage from the static version. I'm sure there will be footage/images from the new units as soon as humanly possible; they are a business and I'm sure cinemek is doing everything it can to please/gain customers, even if we end users can't see what's happening every hour of every day.

DJ, yes I agree.

Besides I'm sure they will post killer footage from the production model as soon as they invent one.

Ill Eagle, is this the battery-powered version?

Also, I've been using a beta for a while and these guys mean business. Edge to edge sharpness, amazingly minimal vignetting (as in none), no distortion whatsoever. Also, you get a very cool hard edged bokeh look. Lots of fun; I look forward to the final version a lot. Although not way too much, because I feel pretty exclusive using my beta...

I'm losing a bit of resolution, but it's surprisingly not that bad and often times my fault for messing with focus. This thing is pretty good and I've used a mini35; I just REALLY want a flip feature.

It doesn't appear to have a battery pack. But it looks like a finished unit before they decided to go to a moving screen.

My guess is that it'll only be fully operational again when they have their new G35 vibrating version ready to be sold, with pictures, footage, etc.

I think they have been dicking around with this for too long. As far as company image goes they're starting to slide into Redrock territory.
There are other people here on this forum building very good units..possibly better and it hasn't taken them a year to do it. WHy not save your money and support the locals here? At least they don't leave you hanging.

I'm sure somebody is going to come back and explain why this hasn't happened or why they haven't been able to do that..blah blah blah. It's bullshlt.

Look on DIY and give your cash to somebody that is making an amazing product NOW.

The Brevis35 is shapping up to be an amazing adapter. If everything that it's been said about it is true, some of the more expensive companies might be in trouble. So far I've only seen some footage from a Panasonic ag400 and it had no barrel distorion, no color aberration, it was very sharp and it looses like half a stop. It's not yet available though. I'm looking forward to trying it.

I'm not sure but I thought the forum was called "G35 Progress"....
If you guys keep throwing salt at John and the Cinemek crew, I imagine this thread will be shut done pretty soon.

You're right DJ. It should have been called "G35 Lack of Progress".

Perhaps we are being too impatient. I don't know..maybe I'm just speaking for a lot of people when I say it feels like you're getting strung along.

That being said, from what I have seen their adapter is kick ass. I hope when the new one comes out it's even better.
It's just frustrating. I'm sure it is for Cinemek as well.

Angrius,
We understand your frustrations. I hate that you feel as if we are stringing you along. The last thing we are interested in is keeping people in limbo. People feel it necessary to send us hate mail and that's ok. We are just as fired about our up and coming release as everyone is. I hope we are not keeping anyone from spending money on the plentiful crop of new adapters, but if we are that is their choice. I think slamming a company in a forum is a bit of poor choice, but that is their choice as well. We have been dealing with everything form incompetent website hosts to personal family loss. We are a small company and are people who want to get the best product out as we can. If we wanted to make a quick buck we would have been selling "upgradeable" units for the past 8 months. Does that make us the best businessmen? Maybe not. However I cans say that we will ship with the best product we can produce. And yes, it will blow you away. I do appreciate your feedback, just try not to get to Angrius at us, we are working our best to get these rolling. :)

Thanks Jonathan. I just wanted you to reply to this. I'm not really worked up or angry at all. Operating a business isn't always a breeze. You've got a great product out and I know you'll do well with this adapter. I'm sure I'll be buying one.
NOW RELEASE IT ALREADY!!!:)

Yeah I just did some shooting with the "beta" and I had grain like crazy even at f2.8.

The optics are wonderful, but this decision to go with spinning GG was a smart one...

But seriously, can we expect this thing before...say...June? I think if you just kept people updated they wouldn't feel so bad. Kinda like being left out of the loop, what with no more forum and all.

Yes, definitely by June :) Much much sooner than that. No issues with Dan. We are all kosher. As I have stated before, we are not trying to keep people out of the loop so much as keep some of our designs under wraps until they are finalized. It's funny how designs get quickly "adopted" when they are posted. After all, we are not making a DIY product. I just saw this Mr. T smiley face so I thought I would throw it in. :costumed-smiley-047

Thanks for your patience and support. We will get this thing out and in all of your hands before you know it.

Withyou all the way

Never apologize for setbacks that are beyond your control. Part of conducting a biz. Sh**t happens. Be tough as steel and remember you have already proved your products worth. We are with you all the way.

Actually Jonathan be as tough as wood. It's much stronger than steel.
Plus chicks dig wood.
Well actualy some guys dig wood as well and I guess that's okay too.

Hey Jonathan, I visited the cinemek website recently and there's a msg there that says pre-orders should be resent?? I'm not sure if I understood right. Which preorders were lost? The ones that were made right now, the ones that were made before the website colapsed? Does this mean I will have a new place on the line different from the one I had before?

Hmmm....makes one wonder? I have a Dual G5 that had the logic board and processor replaced recently, thought for a seconfd that I lost everything! but I back up ALL my data everyday.
Good luck.

Rawfa -
I think you just need to send them the original email that had your place in line
and it will be honored.
cheers,
J

hope so...can you imagine what a bummer it would be for the guy with order # 1 if he didn't read that.
