FS7: G series cards, what's the advantage?

Yes agreed re USB3 ports.. I didnt know till quite recently that my Mac Air with its two USB3 ports is actually not 2 but 1 with an internal splitter.. and this is the same for all modern slim line laptops.. its only the desk tops that have full speed for each port.. i.e. without splitters.. I went to an apple shop for another reason and asked the guy there.. who did rather sheepishly admit that this was the case.. but not something they shout about..
Use shotput pro and it will email you when your card is done .. at least you can go to the bar or have something to eat..

Good to know. That explains my issues in tethered shooting with Canon 5DM3 and Pentax 645z stills when I use my iPhone via USB as hotspot. Thanks for this information.

I was looking into possible ways of down loading to 3 drives at the same time.. and during that read on the internet that not only apple but all the slim line laptops are like this.. with an internal splitter.. seems to have been a well kept secret .. well to those like myself, not very computer savvy anyway..
