GH2 FZ200 High Speed Video samples for those interested in it for GH3

I'd be a happy chappy if they included this in the GH3. Hopefully we get some icing on the cake with it IQ wise.
 
For people who work in 1080HD, 200fps SD is pretty useless. And 720 tends to get soft when unpressed to 1080.

...then what are your options ? twixtor or motion...both of which look like cxxp, or the fs700 which cost 7k. Maybe we'll have other cheaper 1080 options sooner...but not yet ! Let's hope the gh3 has 1080/120. Personally I'd chose real 720/120p over twixtor anyday.
 
The 720 looks pretty good to me. Hard to judge off of shaky and really overexposed footage but I don't see anything awful about it.

I never said they were awful. I said they weren’t great. They are in fact good. Just not great.

My reason for saying this is that the dynamic range of the FZ200 is just not as good as we are used to with the GH2. That is why I think this mode on the GH3 will be truly great.

For the people that will buy the FZ200 this mode will be as close to perfect as they would want. For everyone else the GH3 will fit the bill.

The FZ200 is an outstanding camera. I should be able to play with one this week.
 
Here is another 720p @ 100 FPS sample. The motion is excellent in this video. However, there is some aliasing and not quite the resolution of the GH2's 720p. I really really think the GH3's slow motion is going to rival some of the much more expensive cameras. It won't beat cameras like the Phantom Flex. However, it will make them second guess whether they want to risk a $300,000 camera or a $1500 camera in a water shot like they did for shark week.
