Just thought I'd let y'all know that the NEW Avid Xpress Pro 5.7 (for both PC and MAC) now supports writing back to the P2 card (via firewire).

It has other cool features, check it out at: www.avid.com

I thought that was an important feature, and now probably even more important, since the P2 card are getting larger...

I have not tried the upgrade, since it costs $50 bucks... I'll probably wait a bit...
[YES I'm CHEAP!! jajajaja]

I thought I read somewhere that this version doesn't support older Mac Powerbook laptops, just the new Macbook's and Macbook Pro's. Any know if this is the case? I'd hate to lose accessibility to Avid out in the field, and I'm not ready to upgrade as I have my built in PCMCIA treating me nicely.
