FYI CPM New Rig Line

CPM Camera Rigs

Hello all, I wanted to post a heads up; we are running a special for June. Free domestic shipping on all the cubed rigs, 25.00 upgrade on heavy duty rods (normally 60.00) and of course the DVX User 10% off coupon code is always there.
Also we just released a new line of rigs. This was at the request of an Army reserve unit, the unique rig in the group is the Noisy Cricket. Nice balance between the Sidewinder Basic and Sidewinder Advanced. The request was for several rigs to be manufacturerd in the OD green, so we carried it through to a few other rigs. Feedback from other customers prompted us to put them up on the site. Its a very mutted green, certainly not an 'in your face' type of color.

We are nearly finished with the tooling for the geared head, started working on both versions of our follow focus; the belt and the gear version. We've started the design phase of the Swing away Matte Box and then last on our tooling list for this year is our Slyders. Also to aid in the assembly of our rigs and to provide additional information we have a couple of product/instructional videos up on the site. We are slowly (too slow) working through our line of gear and making assembly/instruction videos. Currently there are video's for the user installed metal insers for the cubed line of rigs and a second video on the quick release options available. The insert video also shows the Tekkeon Battery snap install. I am currently editing a more comprehensive video about the portable battery unit and also a couple of rig assembly videos. Hope to have them up very soon.

Last thing, we are looking at ideas for next years slate of products. Some have mentioned remote triggers, teleprompters (ipad style). Would love any ideas DVX Users might have for a product they would like to see made.

Thanks,

Steve

how about Carbon Fibre A frames and handle. Handle wrapped in normal cushion of course. Would the carbon fibre (like the heavy duty rods ) be more durable than the current molded plastic you have? A heavy duty handle would be really good and is an often overlooked peice to the puzzle.

Yes, actually considered doing this as an extended handle as well. That of an overmolded longer grip, just working out the articulation and mount locations. I like the idea of a carbon rod overmolded handle set-up. Would not be hard to do at all. Keep em coming.
