FX6: This Month In Nature - November 2022 (4K)

One of my favorite things to do is to grab one of my cameras, a couple of lenses, a tripod, and them go out and film wildlife for a few hours in the evenings, on the weekends, or even for a few days in a row if I have time for a vacation. Photographing or filming wildlife is perhaps one of the most challenging yet rewarding hobbies you can take up. And you don’t need to travel to far-away exotic locations or own an expensive camera to enjoy filming wildlife.

Very nice, Doug. The raptor (?) with the fish is a really cool shot. Was the moon at the end also taken with this setup?

BTW, I just got a Zacuto Gratical Eye to go with my FX6. While I'm not wild about the added size/weight/power requirement, the difference in quality is notable. The stock screen with the FX9 loupe is an adequate solution, but the Gratical really is a step above in terms of being able to manually grab focus.

Thanks, Dave, I'm glad you liked it. The moon at the end was shot with the FX6 + 200-600mm + 2.0x converter.

Yes, the Gratical makes all the difference for manual focusing and judging exposure with zebras. There's no way I could shoot without it.
I don't find the extra power/weight requirements to be a problem on the FX6 because I've got my camera built-up anyway with other accessories. However, for times when I really want to slim the camera down, I now have the Zacuto Battery attachment accessory that mounts right onto the side of the EVF. No other cables or batteries needed.
