Other: FX6 Availability...

Hey folks,

Fairly simple question really. Anyone know of anywhere (ideally in the UK) where FX6 cam bodies are in stock. Failing that, anyone know a place that they've had good experiences with accurately estimated wait times for out of stock products?

I bought mine back in June from Wex. I was surprised that they had them in stock. Perhaps they had less demand because they are not video specialists? Worth a phone call.

Although you'd prefer to find one by you, it sounds like you're open to other places and if so, check B&H and Adorama between USA's eastern standard time of 3am-6am every day. Might see one available from time to time.

My order at BH took 2.5+ months. When I spoke to BH customer service the guy told me that they had something like 5 or 6 thousand units on order. During that time I (obsessively) checked Adorama and it came into stock at least three times. So I'm assuming they fulfilled all of their backorders and put one or two up for sale on the site. If you decide to order in the US I would give Adorama a shot...

Sony USA has stopped shipping FX6 bodies and kits for the past 60 days.

We're being told that FX6 bodies will resume shipping in February and that FX6 24-105mm kits will resume shipping in April.

Sony FX9 cameras have had better availability.
