FW to SD DVD

I am trying to make a copy of my footage that was shot 720p/30pn to a SD DVD through the Firewire port. Is that possible? It works when I plug in the composite cables. The camera is set to downconvert but does that only work through the composite jacks.

What are you plugging it into? A DVD burner?

You can't do that with Firewire. You can only stream the live feed or transfer your data as data.

If it's an HVX200, you could possibly dub the footage to DV tape and then capture it through Firewire that way, but I doubt it's worth that.
