FW 1.4 - what are the hurdles?

I believe there are problems hacking the 1.4 fw but I can't find any status on this.
What is is new fw version from Panasonic supposed to address?
What are the immediate problems in hacking it?
How different from the 1.3 is it? Is it encrypted?

I'm asking all this becasue I've seen a cheap new GH1 camera for sale but it's got the 1.4fw.

to my knowledge firmware is only up to v1.34 on the latest units. i would double check the info on that camera before purchase.

1.34 is unhackable right now...in the future? Only Mr hacker can say.

Like MR Fanny said, it's only up to 1.34 right now - unless you have an even newer GH1 that none have reported yet.
