Fuzzy wide shots in FCP7

Hi,

Wondering if anyone has had this happen: I notice that the details in wide footage shot on my T2i look fuzzy in FCP but perfectly clear in the original quicktime clips from the camera. This is also true for converted ProRes files which are clear outside of FCP (I'm using Grinder)... however, close ups and medium wide shots are clear in FCP. Weird huh? Any fixes for this?
