future-proofing the fs100?

The thing I wonder about is which is more important, 10 bit or 4:4:4.


I don't do green screen work and I believe 4:2:2 or 4:4:4 would be better for keying.
The most I do is color grade with jump cuts, dissolves and fade to blacks.


Would I benefit more from 4:2:2 10bit or 4:4:4 8bit?
 
With the signal to noise ratio and dynamic range that the FS100's sensor is capable of (judging from the F3) 4:2:2 10 bit would be way more of an asset.


Personally, I don't think you will benifit much at all from 4:4:4 8 Bit (over 4:2:2 8 Bit).
 
Sony's stats show the FS100's noise level more in line with the EX1/3, not up there with the F3. Still it looks clean and the EX1/3 is nothing to sneeze at.
 
Really Duke? I would have thought it to be much better just due to the size of the sensor alone, not to mention the newer tech. But I know you do your math, so I will deffinetly take your word for it.

Are you talking about the signal to noise ratio difference or is there some other stat that shows the noise level to be worse in the FS100?
From what I've been reading so far, the codec adapts to the sensitivity of the signal and reduces the noise even more than the F3 visually
