Future Proof (compositing test)

Re: Future Proof (compositing test)

Damn, that was cool. I didn't know what to expect and my eyes popped out of my head when that ship came over those buildings. I use FCP not vegas so I'm wondering how you masked off sections of the ship to make it feel like it was behind the buildings in the distance.

On a story note, I was half expecting the guy to either be "beamed up" or for the ship to drop another beer in his hands ;D

Very nicely done indeed.

As for Icarus, I'm not sure if I still have the installer on my machine. I will check and see if I can put it somewhere.

Quick question to any reading this, if a program was offered for free non-commercial use, then was bought out and is no longer available...is it illegal to share the free program with others?  ???[/quote]

Hi Braw,

Yeah, it's totally ok to pass on the freeware version. Icarus is a product unto itself, and the freeware status can't be revoked once put in place. The company who bought the Icarus technology took that code and changed/extended it, creating PFTrack, a different product.

If you do have the installer, I'm sure a lot of folks here would be interested in a download to test the product and see if it's worth the upgrade to PFTrack.

If you can find it, please let me know. I'd be happy to host it for others to download.
